Offshore Outsourcing India

The Americans and British have always turned to India as a primary outsourcing country. India is a developing nation, but exceeds all countries but America when it comes to the number of scientifically minded English-speaking individuals. Given that India has yet to be developed labeled, the immense talent that holds is available for outsourcing at very affordable prices - about 50% of what an employee in the U.S. or the UK would require.

Since 1960, India is under the scrutiny of European and American firms. Previously, the main reason for the choice of Indian companies to sub-contract was Indian labor was available at much lower rates than their native counterparts. This has led overheads dramatically down the parent company.

Indian companies recruit special coaches and trainers to make their employees skilled in the ways of western life to become more attractive to their customers. There are quality supervisions and time-limited projects to make their employees more competent.

BPOs in India are working in two shifts - day and night. The night shift makes better business sense, Americans and Europeans, as they become first-time workers in their countries. However, they are paid half the amount of what an employee American or European would have been paid.

Recently, the offshore companies have mushroomed in all cities of India including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Bangalore. Call centers are considered as a profession of great reputation for urban youth, who consider this work a channel for the advanced Western countries. In fact, the salaries of outsourcing firms are an important part of the income earned by young people in Indian cities.
