Recent changes to Corporate Ethics

If you look at the Big Business as a consumer, you will find some surprising changes on the common sense of business ethics. The banks defend themselves from class action cases because of unethical practices in the absurd charge fees for everything from withdrawing your money to close the accounts. Banks are perceived as highly ethical fudiciary due to the nature of the business, but here are being sued for precisely the opposite. Cellular telephone service providers, cable providers and a host of other companies large national brands have slowly changed the face of big business hiding behind complex contracts that the signs of consumers in order to obtain a simple service. The contracts are taxes that are never discussed and are simply hidden in the legalese of the contract. If the price is quoted as $ 40/month the end user is usually surprised to find in the bill an additional $ 20 to $ 40 in additional costs.

Over the past 20 years, this flow of hidden fees has been accepted by most users as the price of doing business. Only because of lack of competition due to mergers and acquisitions these companies are able to retain their customers. There was a noticeable lack of game agianst these companies and their ways of doing business neferious until recently. Companies have increased their return on investment (ROI) because of deception rather than real business growth. During the application fee is an acceptable way to raise revenue for a company the way they do it is prudent to say the least. A charge that is never discussed or clearly written is almost as good a deal.

If you own or plan to own a business, do the right thing, and customer loyalty and trust of gain by additional costs clear and open to all discussions and agreements. If you hide behind big contracts to hide fees and charges as a way of doing business may be legally right, but you can also do your customers wrong. Indeed, as the banks can attest to the current, you may not even be legally right and end up in litigation for years that could end your business ....
